The Phenix Scheduling Process

The basic Phenix scheduling process is as follows. For more information, see Scheduling.

  • Review the current state of the line and manage exceptions.

  • Import or create new production orders.

    • Orders can be imported from an ERP/MRP/Planning system or created by Phenix.

  • Tell Phenix to automatically schedule the new orders.

    • Phenix schedules new orders where they fit in the wheel sequence and meet the order’s due date.

  • Review the schedule Phenix generates and any exceptions.

    • Move orders as necessary or desired.

    • If an order cannot be met while maintaining Wheel sequence, decide whether or not to break wheel sequence and create an exception.

    • Enter reason codes for exceptions to document the action taken and provide data for process improvement.

  • Export the schedule to the other systems and publish to the shop floor.
