The setup menu is used to create or maintain master data.  See the Master Data section or specific master data work instructions for more detail.

Setup Menu Options

  • Organization contains master data for:

    • Planning features

    • Time windows and time zones.

    • Order attributes.

    • Line availability (calendar).

    • Outages (calendar exceptions, downtime).

  • Sites contains the structure of planning areas, line groups, lines, and resources.

    • Here, lines can also be configured and customized, allowing you to set:

      • The line’s description and type.

      • Time windows, availability, and outages (if different from the organization master).

      • Product Wheel sequencing.

      • Format of the order export.

  • Materials contains the master data for materials:

    • Create and maintain Material Attributes

    • Create and maintain Material Types

    • Create and edit Materials, including attribute values, Bill of Materials, preferred and alternate lines, and more.

  • Production Rates contains the master data for rates.

    • View and create production rates.

    • View consumption rates of BoM Items and Resources.

  • Changeovers contains the rules that are used to calculate setup time and costs.

    • Create and edit Standard Changeovers.

    • Create and edit Changeover Rules.

  • Units of Measure defines units of measure and sets up conversions between them.
