Sites contain three internal structures: Line Groups, Resources, and Areas. For more information on these structures and what they do, see the subpages for them under Maintain Sites. As an overview:

  • Line Groups group some combination of Lines, Materials, and Resources to allow for group Wheel design, group planning and scheduling, multi-level scheduling, etc.

  • Resources are additional items such as pieces of equipment or staff that are used to run Materials on a Line.

  • Areas are structures for grouping similar Lines together for organization and categorization purposes.

To create any of these structures, click on the Create [Structure] button. This button is at the top of the page if the Site has none of the structure, and under the [Structure] in Site header otherwise.

To create a new area within a site, click on “Create Area”. The button is at the top of the screen if the site has no Areas, and under the “Areas in Site” header otherwise.

To edit an Existing Line Group or Resource, click Details in the right “Actions” column of the structure’s entry, and then Edit at the top of the following page.

To edit an existing Area, click on Edit in the right “Actions” column of the Area’s entry.

To delete any of these structures, click on in the right “Actions” column of the structure’s entry.

Areas cannot be deleted if they contain Lines. Delete every Line in an Area first.
